What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get SDK, set proper paths.
2. "make ncurses" or some library/example that is disabled for newlib.
3. See "make: `ncurses' is up to date."

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The output should indicate that ncurses cannot be built with newlib (has not 
been ported).
