I am having errors recently saving the database on android. I am using HTC One M8 with android version 5.02

My database is stored in my google drive. The database works on windows.

@pepeEL you need to install the google drive program on your PC. Your google drive will then show up as a folder in your file explorer, and you can navigate to the database file like normal. I have the portable version of KeePass stored in google drive with my database file.

I had similar problem. It seems to be a bug of the folder selector.

Say I have a database at file:///sdcard/KeePass/database.kdb. If I open it via the built-in folder picker of KeePassDroid, it would be recorded as content://com.android.externalstorage.documents/document/primary%3AKeePass%2Fatabase.kdbx. The same applies to the key file path.

If I use the above content:// paths, I would have problem to save database, and a problem of randomly failure to open database which could be solved by manually select the database and key file again via the folder picker.

If I type the file:/// paths manually, both problems disappeared.

@danny0838 Do you know how to type a path to a Google drive file?

danny0838 commented 8 years ago

@peeweejd No, I don't.

I usually sync my keepass databases and key files to and from my Android phone from and to Dropbox using FolderSync so that I have my database even if web access is unavailable. FolderSync supports Google Drive as well, and it may also be viable for you.

@danny0838 thanks, I'll check out that app.
