Cannot setup fingerprint authentication on latest version #463

Trying to set fingerprint authentication on latest version 2.5.17.1 Android. Does not save password after applying password to authenticate. Simply returns to sign on screen. Rolled back to older version and worked fine. Samsung note 9, Android 10

Just to comment I had exactly the same issue with KeePassDroid 2.5.17.1 when installing on a Motorola G30.

Steps to reproduce from clean install:

  1. select database.
  2. check "Show password" and "Save password with biometrics".
  3. enter database password and press OK.
  4. biometrics are requested but then stays on login screen.

I rolled back to 2.5.1 and repeated above steps. At step 4 database is correctly opened and biometrics saved. I then updated to latest (2.5.17.1) and all working as expected.

As a further test I took a working installation on a older Motorola One running KeePassDroid 2.5.17.1. Cleared the data and cache and had exactly the same issue as above. Again rolling back to 2.5.1 fixed the issue.

@ntfreak Thanx man, you saved my day having to set up a new phone. Couldn't find a apk for 2.5.1, but I used 2.4.1 from apkmirror.com. That version worked for me. After updating to the latest version, it kept working.
