Dates format highlighting is not highlighting the entire date #100

If a special (non-expected) character is present in the date format string, only the part of date format string is being highlighted. I encountered this issue while using . as a divider, but there are probably others.

Mermaid shows it as expected so it should be a correct format string image

Would love to PR, but it seems like the repo isn't active anymore
