I think it was moved to github (github.com/google/closure-templates), although 
that is never referred to anywhere that I could find...

Yeah, at least drop they should drop the google code repo, migrate the issues 
to github (if they even make sense anymore) and update the link in the official 
page.

Maybe if we create a issue in the github project it will get more visibility?
