Test failure not revealed by test framework #492

What steps will reproduce the problem?
run issue_363_temporal_sec_key_4 in metadata test case in the master branch

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
This test is designed to be succeeded, but when running it throws exception, 
but still passes.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
I think in the current test framework the exception has been eaten somewhere, 
so finally the test is not marked as failed.

@khurram I assign this to you so feel free to change the ownership for the 
right person~
