ifconfig is being used in nc_start.sh to determine the IP address.
IPADDR=`/sbin/ifconfig eth0 | grep "inet addr" | awk '{print $2}' | cut -f 2 -d
':'`
As discussed in our meeting, we should avoid use of ifconfig.
When Managix invokes nc_start.sh, it passes the correct IP address (from
cluster.xml) as part of the shell environment. The usage of ifconfig inside
nc_start.sh can be removed. However this would break cases where hyracks is not
being started by Managix.
thoughts?
