Problem showing multiple appointments #54

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Hi

We are using the 0.9Beta version on windows and IE8 and it works fine. But
there is one problem. When we have multiple appointments overlaying each
other sometimes some of the appointments disappear. This happens especially
when the appointments have different start (or end) time.

One would expect to maybe see the '+3 more' label, but this isn't either
shown. Is this a known problem?

We are waiting impatiently on next version! When we have a working version
we are very interesting on buying a license for commercial use.

Best regards
/Tobias

Hi Tobias, are you compiling and using the latest code from trunk? Or did you
download
the jar? The latest code from trunk may have solved this issue.

Are you able to provide us some steps to repeat this? Perhaps a simple code
sample
that we can use to reproduce the scenario?

fyi - there is an updated beta2 version of gwt-cal on the download page. I'd be
interested to see if it solves the issue

Hi. We tried the new beta2 version and it solves the issue with multiple
appointments
overlaying each other sometimes disappear! We have tried the calendar in a demo
application and are interesting in buying a commercial license as mentioned
before.
Still we have some questions that it would be very interesting in hearing how
the
non-beta-version is planning to approach. I just shot and see what you say!

One would like to be able to set the minimum height of appointments. And when
no more
appointments can fit the space a tooltip could tell the user what isn’t
showing. The
label ‘+3 more’ doesn’t say much really… I haven’t found a way to set
tooltips on the
appointments at all. Couldn’t the description set on the appointment be used
as
tooltip as default? Maybe there is a way to add some mouseOver handler on
appointments and make our own custom tooltip widget showing (but I haven’t
fount that
one, just click handler, delete handler and so on).
Is there a plan on a year view? This I think would be very useful for a good
overview.

Best regards
Tobias
