Can you try updating to latest version (1.5) and debug>reload without extensions
and see if the peoblem persists? How many files are there in the active project?

1.5 by itself seems like it may have fixed the issue (I didn't even know it came out! Either ignored the auto update message or it didn't appear). I'm going to use it a little and see what happens

GPU temperature is holding steady at around 95 degrees celsius

On my retina 5k iMac (2014, 4 GHz Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB), brackets appears to use excessive amounts of GPU power. The activity monitor does not show a spike in activity, but the fan maxes out after about 2 minutes and the temperature monitoring software I have reports the GPU temperature as being 96 degrees celsius, much hotter than it should be running for a text editor.
