The permissions do not allow you to make modifications. #13576

Brackets won't save a modified hosts file. When attempting to save, I get this:

TextWrangler on the other hand handles it just fine by letting me unlock the file like this:

I am guessing this applies to all the files to which I don't have permission to write. It would be great if Brackets could allow us to save these files.

I have the same problem... Except I've been working on this project for a very long time now, and I've never had this problem before... Now I'm getting that exact error message... I'm looking into how to get it to work, but I'm struggling to find answers...

@Okorie123 please download https://phcode.io the successor to brackets. Brackets is currently not supported.
