Not so much an issue as it is a suggestion - it would be great to have an official snap package for brackets :)

or a flatpack for Fedora please! (same thing as a snap package)

https://fedoramagazine.org/explore-flatpak-fedora-24/

Most important is that Adobe please fixes Linux brackets for all the well known and reported issues!

The version i am going to try on Fedora 24 is here:

https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/mosquito/brackets/

Imagine how amazing it would be to have a fully updated working Brackets in the RPM Fusion repo!

@kodaxx @Learn-Digital-Audio

While Brackets is not available as a Snap Package, the Linux Friendly fork Brackets-Electron is available as a similar Universal AppImage.

More information about Brackets-Electron and installing the AppImage is available at my Brackets Linux Installation Guide.

@NathanJPlummer Why does it need a fork for that?

@rugk

That comment is two years old. Brackets Electron is no longer updated.

To answer your question- Brackets does not need a fork to use Snap, AppImage, or anything similar. At the time the Electron team was providing AppImages and regular Brackets was not- so I suggested it as an alternative.
