brackets code editor is horrible- when I make a change in the code editor and I go back to live preview to see the change the whole fucking website is a mess like things are moved from where I placed them when I didn't even touch that

sometimes it doesn't even show up. I just make one tiny bit of change in the code editor or I remove a line of code and then it fucks up evehring thing else that I didn't even touch smell or look at like why are you moving from you're place I didn't even touch you at all!!!!

If I understand correctly:

Changes made to the HTML are displaced in the live preview. If you open the file somewhere else than in the live preview, do you get the same results?

This being said, I highly suggest following this guide: How to Report an Issue - This helps us help you.

You can also check these troubleshooting steps for Live Preview

If you get the same "displaced" results in another browser, that doesn't look like a Brackets issue.

Please follow the issue reporting guide if you feel that your code is correctly formatted.

If the browser can't understand the code, then yes. Computers are basically no smarter than toasters. Input -> Output.

If your pizza dough has the wrong ingredients, or in the wrong quantities, it's not going to be fine when out of the pizza oven.

Please follow the issue reporting guide if you feel that your code is correctly formatted.
