[CLOSED] [Win Only]: Some JPN characters displayed with blank when adding ShiftJisCombinedChars. #2540

Problem: Some JPN chars UnicodeInvalidCharForXMLName"金朗" displayed with blank when adding some ShiftJisCombinedChars"æ̀ɔ̀ɔ́ʌ̀ʌ́ə̀ə́ɚ̀" .

Steps:

  1. Launch the Brackets
  2. In Sidebar, right click and select New.
  3. Name the file with JPN characters like "金朗æ̀ɔ̀ɔ́ʌ̀ʌ́ə̀ə́ɚ̀", "æ̀ɔ̀ɔ́ʌ̀ʌ́ə̀ə́ɚ̀金朗" or "æ̀ɔ̀金朗ɔ́ʌ̀ʌ́ə̀ə́ɚ̀"
  4. Check the chars "金朗" displayed with blank.

Result: Some JPN chars like UnicodeInvalidCharForXMLName "金朗" displayed with blank when adding some ShiftJisCombinedChars"æ̀ɔ̀ɔ́ʌ̀ʌ́ə̀ə́ɚ̀"

Expect: The JPN chars " UnicodeInvalidCharForXMLName" should be displayed correctly when adding ShiftJisCombinedChars.

@jasonsanjose We need a little more information on this. Are there ShiftJis Chars not represented in Unicode? How does the filename encoding affect this bug? Please follow up with the IQE team on this one.

This issue has already fixed in latest build 0.31.0-9525. So closing it. Here is the snapshot for reference: 2669
