Issue by wjk Sunday Nov 24, 2013 at 20:40 GMT Originally opened as https://github.com/adobe/brackets/issues/6101

While this isn’t a Brackets issue per se, I know of no other place to report it.

When I open github/adobe, the link in the organization page sidebar gives me a 404 page. Apparently the Adobe webserver is automatically redirecting me to the non-existant URL http://www.adobe.com/open-source.edu. You can fix this by changing the link on GitHub to point to http://www.adobe.com/open-source.html. Then the redirect will work correctly.

@wjk are you still seeing this? It works for me now -- if I click it, it goes to http://www.adobe.com/open-source

It still doesn’t work. It is important to note that this only occurs when you have the “educational discount mode” on Adobe.com enabled. Try going to the Creative Cloud page and clicking the link entitled “Student and teacher pricing”. This will cause the Adobe webserver to automatically change URLs ending in .html to end .edu.html. If the URL doesn’t end in .html, .edu will just be tacked onto the end. This is the behavior that leads to the 404 page mentioned above.

Oh, very interesting. I'll see if I can chase down who's responsible. Thanks!
