Lots of designers use Fireworks for many projects: http://boagworld.com/design/fireworks-vs-photoshop/

Hi@dcrockwell,

it would be nice if you could be a bit more specific about your feature request. Do you have an example use case?

And by the way, I think the Brackets community rather than Adobe will have to implement support for Fireworks, since it is a discontinued product.

Yes, it would be nice to import Fireworks files with Extract the same way you would with Photoshop. I feel Fireworks is a much better tool for web content creation. However,@sbruchmann is right, Adobe discontinued the product.... which sucks! I really enjoyed using it and its too bad there will no longer be updates. I'm thinking they might take the new Adobe edge Animation and Edge Code (brackets) and other edge products and maybe make a new product similar to Fireworks. Im not basing this on anything I've heard, just guessing. Anyway, thanks Brackets team! Love the program and this new Extract thing is very cool.

Since Fireworks has been discontinued, we do not plan on adding asset extraction for Fireworks.
