It's annoying to having the entire text editor stuck while Brackets Git is pushing, fetching, pulling and so on (because of the modal that appears on the middel of the screen).
I think such modal could be limited to just the Brackets Git panel, in this way it will prevent the user from performing other Git actions during it, but will allow us to continue working on the project if we need to.
