Homepage design! #2

This site doesn't currently have a homepage design. I've ported over the content from the existing patternlab.io site, but nothing's set in stone.

Check out other open-source code projects (React, Vue, Storybook, Fractal, etc) to get a sense of what is featured from a content standpoint.

Issues/thoughts/impressions/questions.

  1. Based on the examples given, we're looking for something less cluttered.

  2. Banner - proposing a change from "Create atomic design systems with Pattern Lab" to two lines. "Pattern Lab" "Create your own atomic design"

  3. Banner - propose losing repeat graphic for single logo as a backdrop.

  4. Keep npm create pattern-lab floater.

  5. Video - Keeping this in a smaller frame may help separate it from the page. So that's an improvement from the current live page. It may be worth it to play with some borders on this.

  6. Video - I noticed it was getting a little fractal-y while it was looping. It may just be a speed issue. But is there a way to make this run smoother?

  7. Propose changing "Pattern Lab is a frontend workshop environment that helps you build, view, test, and showcase your design system's UI components." to "Build. View. Test." or "Build, view, test your UI components."

  8. Is this crucial? "At its core, Pattern Lab is a static site generator (powered by either Node or PHP) that stitches together UI components. But there's a whole lot more to it than that!"

  9. The list at the bottom feels cluttered. Would like to consult about better ways this information could be displayed or possibly taken to another page.
