Hi Jonathan. Happy New Year to you too!
Romero did things a bit differently with SIGIL II. Whereas SIGIL_SHREDS.wad contains just music lumps and needs to be loaded alongside SIGIL_v1_21.wad, SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD actually contains everything SIGIL_II_V1_0.WAD does but with the music lumps replaced. That is, SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD and SIGIL_II_V1_0.WAD shouldn't be loaded together.
This works for me:
doomretro.exe -iwad \wads\doom.wad -file \wads\SIGIL_v1_21.wad \wads\SIGIL_SHREDS.wad \wads\SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD
But also if you double-click on the doomretro.exe icon, navigate to your wads folder, double-click on DOOM.WAD, everything else should autoload for you.
EDIT: Also, if you place SIGIL_v1_21.wad, SIGIL_SHREDS.wad and SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD in \autoload\doom (not \autoload), they will all autoload fine.
That's great. I should of looked at the SIGIL_II_MP3_README_V1_0.txt as well! Just got into the mindset of thinking it was a seperate music wad. Many thanks👍
Hi and Happy new year!
ref: SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD (Checksum CRC32 A5B88587)
Having troublke loading the SIGIL soundtrack (it only loads the SIGIL_II_V1_0.WAD file?
I tried placing both the SIGIL_II_V1_0.WAD & SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD in the same folder as my SIGIL 1 files (in \IWAD\RISEN) I can see in the Doom Retro console that it loads the SIGIL_v1_21.wad & SIGIL_SHREDS.wad automatically. I think this is determined in DoomRetro.cfg file (wadfolder "M:\IWad\Risen")
I also tried different locations e.g. putting SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD in the autoload\SIGIL_II_V1_0 folder. and even in the same directory as DoomRetro. doomretro -iwad \IWAD\RISEN\DOOM -file SIGIL_II_V1_0.WAD SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD
The closest I got was to revert to Doom Retro v5.1.2, and renaming SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.WAD to SIGIL_II_MP.WAD In the console it loaded both files, but crashed when I started the game. regards Jonathan
