What needs to be done

The project's README should be updated with more information about the project itself. Right now its pretty bare.

[ ] update the word "road-map" to just "roadmap". Add a description
[ ] add a short description of the project, and where its available.
[ ] move project readme to About page. Part of #194
[ ] add badges, verify they work on the actual rendering of the page. Might have to update a custom parser to remove them?
