mumudvb fails to tune dvb-t2 stick #210

Hello,

with my dvb-t2 stick I can successfully watch a program using:

vlc dvb-t2://frequency=570000000:bandwidth=8:ts-id=515

but mumudvb compiled from 1268aa98ebbf fails:

No idea how to debug this :-(

I have a similar problem, what helps is adding delivery_system=DVBT2

to the configfile. But I would not expect needing to add that. if I specify something like autoconfiguration=full

Can you try to add the delivery system ?

Give us your configuration file ? Run "mumudvb -lvvvv" to see if the card is well detected by MuMuDVB

For the record: I can confirm that adding delivery_system=DVBT2 fixes the problem indeed. @akemnade: Thanks for your support here.

Why ? I guess because I wrote it looking at this documentation https://linuxtv.org/downloads/v4l-dvb-apis/uapi/dvb/frontend-header.html#c.fe_delivery_system

Could we accept more inputs like DVB-T2 ? Yes, I just made and pushed a commit for that, thank you for the suggestion

Its because I was looking at the linux headers when implementing it.

Hey guys I got the Hauppauge WinTV Dual HD that uses the same chipset. I'm not able to tune any DVB-T2 channels even though I have delivery_system=DVBT2 In the conf file.

I'm using MuMuDVB compiled from source.

Hi, same problem here, using hauppauge WinTV-soloHD (Silicon Labs Si2168), w_scan2 finds channels but mumudvb can't tune. Worked perfectly for years with same cards until switch to DVBT2 (HEVC) came along.... delivery_system=DVBT2 did nothing using freshly compiled mumudvb

I wonder if it is either timing or some auto parameters that should be set by hand

Please try to specify the bandwidth

MuMuDVB is by default at 8MHz, your channels look to be scanned at 7MHz

According to w_scan the transponder was found under the dvb-T category,

Ahhh, so very sorry for taking your time. Everything works now! Guess I didn't do all the testing with new version of mumudvb as with the old one (without support for DVBT2). Anyway, legendary app, legendary support :-))))

It seems that your Croatian cable provider uses DVB-T (not DVB-C) in the cable even for those programs which are now in DVB-T2 in the whole country.

If you plug in a terrestrial antenna you will need to use the DVBT2 Parameter, indeed, see https://oiv.hr/hr/vijesti/objave-za-javnost/uspjesno-zavrsen-prelazak-na-novi-dvb-t2-sustav-u-cijeloj-republici-hrvatskoj/
