We need to let the participants know the number of hours they should be working on the materials/exercises per week.

I have been suggesting individually the time frames from swcarpentry and the timeframe from hacky hour attendance.

~8 hours from software carpentry lessons (round up), and then then ~2 hours per week for 8 weeks, works out to be ~24 hours of total work.
