Hi @Brainhack-Global/project-monitors: my project is ready!
Twitter: Neurodesk - A flexible, scalable, and easy to use data analysis environment for reproducible neuroimaging - in this hackathon we want to add new tools, workflows and more documentation to the project :)
Thanks @stebo85 for the submission. Will cross check and get back to you shortly
@stebo85 You're good to go!
@Remi-Gau - the project doesn't seem to be on the website yet. Do I need to do anything to make this happen?
It's on us. CI issues being fixed.
@stebo85
@jhlegarreta fixed and improved the CI: :pray:
You are on the website: https://brainhack.org/global2021/projects/
Hope the rendering is to your liking.
Thanks to @Remi-Gau for the heads-up and the side testing.

Project Description
What are you doing, for whom, and why? Neurodesk provides a containerised data analysis environment to facilitate reproducible analysis of neuroimaging data.
What makes your project special and exciting? Analysis pipelines for neuroimaging data typically rely on specific versions of packages and software, and are dependent on their native operating system. These dependencies mean that a working analysis pipeline may fail or produce different results on a new computer, or even on the same computer after a software update. Neurodesk provides a platform in which anyone, anywhere, using any computer can reproduce your original research findings given the original data and analysis code.

Goals for Brainhack Global
Warm-up goals: 1) Add your favorite workflow to our workflow collection: https://neurodesk.github.io/tutorials/ and benchmark how long it takes to run on Neurodesk vs your standard setup
2) Add your favorite tools to Neurodesk as a new container: https://neurodesk.github.io/developers/new_tools/add_tool/ (already existing tools: https://github.com/orgs/NeuroDesk/packages)
3) Test Neurodesk for your work - let us know what works and what doesn't work :) https://github.com/NeuroDesk/neurodesk.github.io/discussions
4) Test Neurodesk on free cloud tiers of amazon AWS, google cloud, Alibaba
Stretch goals:
5) Find a way how we can run automatic unit tests of our workflow documentation
6) Build a cross-platform graphical user interface for launching and managing neurodesk (Go/Electron) app
Good first issues
issue one: Test Neurodesk for your work - let us know what works and what doesn't work :) https://github.com/NeuroDesk/neurodesk.github.io/discussions
issue two: Add your favorite workflow to our workflow collection: https://neurodesk.github.io/tutorials/
