The default weather card shows the condition("Party Cloudy") and it would be lovely if your weather card also showed it.

I don't think that is needed as the icon is pretty clear?

domoritz commented 4 years ago

The icon helps but I am still learning what the icons exactly mean and the textual description is very useful for me.

I too, would also love to have the weather description displayed as an option! Understandable if it's not easily implementable, we appreciate what you've done for us already!

This is like saying that traffic signs should have a written explanation beneath them because you are a new driver. If the icon shows the sun and cloud it is partly cloudy. If it shows a cloud with droplets underneath it is going to rain. If the cloud has 3 drops, it is going to rain a lot.

PierreScerri, so why have it at all? It's like saying you're a new human in this world and you step outside...if you dont see any clouds out, it's clear, if you feel water hit your head, it's raining, if you feel air blowing by your face it's windy...

What I'm saying is that there is really no need to have an icon and text at the same time. That is excess information and it takes up space. It makes you lazy because you can read the text and never learn to read the icon. If you're a new human (i.e. a baby), you can't be bothered by rain or wind, so it doesn't matter.
