Surface Pen eraser does not erase #3

The surface pen eraser does not erase and disrupts the erase functionality of the mouse.

A mouse draw seems to reset things a bit so that strokes can be erased with the mouse, but the surface pen eraser still does not work.

This appears to be substantially improved by #2 but there are still issues to be resolved.
