I've had good results with Drag and Dropping media files into NextNote from my desktop, but the Insert/edit image button to add files directly from Nextcloud is severely limited to only the following extensions:
Here are additional extensions which I can confirm work fine with drag and drop:
gif
svg
webm.
Perhaps others can chime in with additional examples as testing continues.
