php server isnot connecting to my mysql database.

Hi! Something similar occurs with one of my students. "driver could not be found' message is displayed running with PHP Server whilst from htdocs folder (we're using xampp) connection to the same db is possible. Have you found how to fix this or any ideas about how to address the issue? Thank you in advance.
