Not seeing icon or contact sharing #3

I am seeing the option to share with Flash Your QR in the browser and YouTube, but not in Contacts and I do not see the icon on the home screen. I am running Android 2.2.1 on a myTouch 3G. I have just been given this phone and do not know if I should be updating it.

I love this idea, it should have been included in the OS from day one.

I have discovered how to add the icon on the home screen. For others with this question, it is a widget and after installing this app you can add the widget by pressing and holding a blank space on your home screen, then choosing Widgets, then you should see Flash Your QR which will lead to configuring a widget on your home screen. This allows sharing one contact per widget, but I am still hoping for a way to share any contact directly from the Contacts list as another option next to Bluetooth and Gmail.
