High block counts from shields #1

Open lukemulks opened 5 years ago

lukemulks commented 5 years ago

Brave shields are blocking 23 requests on batcommunity.org, without us running ads and tracking (aside from piwik).

The vast majority of these are twitter related. Going to open an issue for that in brave-browser, but want to capture the issue here for reference.

We should aim to have 0 block counts on this site before launch. @Miyayes

It is certainly strange that every instance of an emoji in the Twitter feed (such as https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/1f5a5.png) is being treated as an ad/tracker.

These blocked abs.twimg.com requests are there because twimg.com is present on our copy of the Disconnect list but and not whitelisted (unlike pbs.twimg.com).
