Freeciv-web tech tree not rendered on Debian GNU/Linux on x86 #14935

Description

The tech tree of https://www.freecivweb.org/ isn't shown on Brave on Debian GNU/Linux on amd64. It is still possible to select a tech by hovering over the empty space and selecting the tech based on pop up help.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to https://www.freecivweb.org/ New Game type in a user name start start no Click on the "Tech" tab

Actual result:

The tech tree isn't shown

Expected result:

The tech tree is shown

Easily reproduced

Brave version

Brave installed via apt-get on Debian stable Brave 1.22.67 Chromium: 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64 bit)

Other Additional Information:

I disabled brave shields, the problem is still there. The problem isn't there on Firefox (on Debian).

Reported on the other side as https://github.com/Lexxie9952/fcw.org-server/issues/43

I should mention: This is on a laptop that uses the unfree nVidia drivers.

I couldn't reproduce this on the exact same Brave version in Arch Linux.

I am using amdgpu drivers, although we shouldn't be different from Chromium in this respect - @kvilhaugsvik could you by chance try in Chromium 89?

Cool site by the way, never heard of Freeciv before :smile:

I can check on the same computer with Chromium 88.0.4324.182 from Debian stable's repos if that helps. It has the tech tree, just like Firefox does. Brave is still missing it after the update that just came out.

Brave on Debian testing with mesa drivers on Intel graphics works too.
