Claiming rewards on github release apk version closes browser unexpectedly

Hello, first of all, great browser you guys have got here. I really appreciate all of the development and hard work that has gone into this. Switched from Firefox a few months ago and have been really enjoying my browsing experience on both mobile and desktop.

It appears I am unable to claim brave rewards. I'm on LineageOS, the latest version, either because of no google play services or perhaps on the github released apk. I've installed the APK from the github release section. Thank you guys for distributing the APK in this way, as it makes it easier for people like me who don't want Google on their device. Anyways, when I click the "claim rewards" button, either in the rewards setting page or the popup on the reward triangle in the url bar, the app closes and I get the message:

Steps to reproduce

Install brave os on LineageOS with no google play services (Or possibly just install the github release version, not sure precisely which is causing it)
Click the "claim rewards" button to claim pending rewards

Actual result

Expected result

The rewards are claimed as expected.

Every time the button is clicked

Version/Channel Information:

I updated to the latest release build, and it does occur. I am unable to test the play store versions as these questions asked due to not having google play services on my device.
