Inconsistency/wrong translations of Brave Shields for Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) #17379

Description

These are the screenshots of the translations in Brave desktop and Brave Android, when the language is set to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) zh-TW.

Desktop:

Android:

In the desktop version, the translation for Shields UP is 屏蔽 開啟, the translation for shields down is 關閉屏蔽.

But in the Android version, the translation for Brave Shields UP is 無畏之盾 上, the translation for Shields down is Shields down.

Besides the inconsistency between the translations of desktop and Android versions, as a Taiwanese user, it feels wrong to see the word 屏蔽 being used, because usually that word is used by someone who speaks/writes Simplified Chinese (China).

I think it would be a lot more appropriate to use Brave 之盾 for all translations of Brave Shields and Shields, or just keep it the same as the one in English without trying to translate this part.

Also in the Android version, when Brave Shields are turned on, the translation for UP and DOWN should not be and ,instead the words 開啟 and 關閉 should be used to tell if Brave Shields are on or off.

Desktop Brave version:

1.27.111 on Windows 10

Your best bet is to suggest translations in https://www.transifex.com/brave/brave/ and report each wrong one as an issue. I've done that in my language and while they might accept the fixed translation, unfortunately the hired translators don't seem to get notified of it and make the same issues again in newer strings 😕

I noticed that the translations have been changed, but they still used the wrong language, when my phone is set to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), the translations of these parts in the browser are displayed in Simplified Chinese, which is a different language.

And in August last year I did try to join their translation project on transifex, but until now they still did not approve it.
