Feature Request: Add RAM Limiter #19008

Description

It would be good to have a RAM Limiter in brave. Opera GX a browser for gamers, has such a feature. In my opinion RAM limiter would be a good feature for brave and its users. There are 2 more such features which might also be considered, which are:

  1. Network Limiter
  2. CPU Limiter

Desktop Brave version:

Brave Version: 1.31.87 Desktop: MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 (I don't think so this is required in a feature req but still)

@virajdoshi11, Opera GX is made specifically for gamers, and includes the components needed to make the intentional function smooth, whereas Brave is made for a general-purpose use. I wouldn't like the idea of implementing these craps in my daily driver. It may be a thing to consider in the future if Brave releases it's Gaming browser version.

But for now, I really wouldn't be in it's favor. Who really uses a browser to play games and use these craps?

@Nihal247 just read my issue properly. I never said to covert Brave into a gaming browser. I think that those features I have mentioned in the issue are just general features and would be good to have in brave. I don't think that those features are only limited or only related to gaming browsers.

Many other softwares also have similar features. For example docker has a setting to limit the memory usage and cpu. So is docker related to gaming? no right. And why are you calling it crap? just chill bro. This is for discussion not for arguments or fights
