firefox like "multi account containers"

Description

this is not an issue but an improvement I use firefox because of it's https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/containers feature, this allow me to isolate google accounts from each others, as well as isolating some website that I don't trust to share my information with other (having a website associated to a dedicated container, when I click on a link that open the website, firefox prompt me about opening the website in the container) the only thing that miss to this feature is a "private window container" mode, where all data (cookies etc...) are deleted on close

I feel you. I think Firefox is just amazing for that only reason.

But try the CookieAutodelete Extension, that wil somewhat help you to achieve that. Everything is blacklisted by default. If you want something to remain, you have to whitelist it.

I found another way using brave profiles I have about 20 different profiles, for various activities (shopping, 1 per google account, some for developpement and so on) and I find it very handy (even more than multi account containers feature) I'm now used to right click on links instead of left click and "open link as" to choose the container

• what is great with this approach is that I can close the profiles to free memory when not using them (what can't be done with firefox and it's a killer plus)
• what miss is an addon that can simplify the process (on a left click, see if a (or more) profile is (are) associated to the url and if a profile is associated, open in the right profile (and if multiple association only provide the corresponding choices) the issue is that the addon should be activated in each profile, and configuration should be shared... so it's more a brave profile improvement...
• what is bad is that brave rewards aren't shared between profiles, so that my rewards are spreaded and that I have to configure autoplay of video each time I create a profile (I hate autoplay...) but beaside that, I'm really really happy with using profile to create containers and be sure that the info won't be mined...
