Same issue with me. Running Windows 10 Pro, Brave version 1.42.97

I get logged out of all the below despite having checked boxes or changed settings that would keep me logged in.

https://www.icloud.com/mail/ https://publishers.basicattentiontoken.org/ even if I bookmark after signing in, https://brave.mytaprewards.com/ https://twitter.com/ (Occasionally stays logged in, but was logged out when I checked just now)

Reddit, Brave Community, Gmail all seem to keep me logged in without me ever getting signed out.

Nothing is checked under Clear Browsing Data (On Exit) and I'm not clearing cookies or browsing history. No programs being used and it happens even when extensions are disabled.

Honestly most other sites I use don’t have accounts or are extra secure where there’s no option to remain signed in. So wouldn’t be able to give feedback on the rest.

Couple more sharing issue with banks over at https://community.brave.com/t/brave-browser-miss-authorize-to-bank-site/428788

Someone mentioned "PSD2 authentication" which might apply to some, but would it have anything to do with the rest?

Brave 1.43.93 macOS Version 12.6

Everything - eg. airline websites / blogs

Gmail and youneedabudget.com works but I have to click ‘Login’ - Youtube is fine, Google Maps is fine

Other Information:

I use 1Password as my password manager

Solitary commented 2 years ago

Brave 1.44.108 Flatpak version on Fedora 36

Using Bitwarden as password manager

Logged out from pretty much everything: Youtube, Github

Checked my cookies before closing/restarting the browser, they were supposed to expire in several months for site accounts.google.com, after browser restart those were all gone. Brave remembered the site, but the cookies itself were gone. Only local storage listing was still present.

Nothing indicating to clear cookies on exit or anything is allowed in settings. Also fairly sure it doesn't happen every time, Youtube login definitely survived at least one browser restart.

Update : When I turn off the computer letting brave open, I don't have any disconnection. Even if I turn on the computer 1 week later. But as soon has I close brave, everything is loged off.

This issue starts to be annoying. Is there any chance to speed up issue fixing?

On my side I am still remaining logged in in service like Facebook, Google, etc when I close the Brave browser. But each time I log in to my bank in the browser, I have to add the device as trusted one.

same here, really tired to be honest, checked everywhere same questions is being repeated with no solutions

daninsky1 commented 1 year ago

Same on Ubuntu Mate. [Version 1.45.127 Chromium: 107.0.5304.110 (Official Build) (64-bit)] official apt last version

The log outs seems to be ramdom, and to me affects all sites, including github.

I found the problem for my case, I set the flag --password-store=basic, to stop the keyring prompt. The problem is whenever you start brave with a different password-store configuration seems to clear your old cookies/logging data, depending on the current password-store method

e.g. If you start brave with --password-store=basic, whenever when you start you'll need to pass this flag again, otherwise brave/chromium will search a default system password-store method, and if it is different from what you configured... maybe your loggins will not be lost, but if you go back to basic, puf it's gone. https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/master/docs/linux/password_storage.md

On my system I set this flag on the user brave-browser.desktop entry, but the dock I use to start brave has a bug that will search the system entrie for the first click, causing my loggins going to oblivion many times. Of course, I've not set this flag to the system brave desktop entry. This needs a little more digging

In some cases this could be cookies

Go to Settings -> Cookies and other site data -> Add your sites URL at the bottom in a format like [*.]example.com
