Icons-only Bookmark Option

Description

Add support for icons only, and text only rendering of the bookmarks bar.

Actual result:

User can presently only show/hide the bookmarks bar.

Expected result:

User should be able to show/hide, as well as configure the presentation of individual bookmark items.

This feature is available in Vivaldi browser, so it shouldn't so difficult to implement. At the present we can only use the Edit... command in the context menu for each bookmark and delete the Name field to use of the bookmarks bar more efficiently, but it just looks odd when we view the contents of the bar upon clicking the >> symbol at the right end of the bookmarks bar or the Bookmarks item in the main menu.

More than 2 years and this still hasn't been implemented. Meanwhile Microsoft created a whole Chromium browser and implemented this in less than that time. What's the deal? And anyone who says just delete the name of the site, stop being stupid.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, @Kaliaila 😄 The problem comes down to priority (I set a priority for the issue; P5). Compared to crashes, upgrading Chromium, and other features this is just a lower priority. I enjoyed this feature in the old (Muon) version of Brave and would like to see it too

Just use the Tooltip that appears when you hover over the icon. Brave, like Edge, already shows the URL that the link sends you to. Also, Edge (and I believe Chrome) allows you to choose to on a per icon basis whether they show just the icon or the icon & the text.

this should be added and the ability to hide the favicons, thus showing only text (like safari and vivaldi) should be added as well
