Maybe this has to do this nvidia gpu hardware acceleration?
FWIW, I'm not seeing the white flashes anymore, I think, but still see the corrupted images, although maybe a bit less, hard to say

This appears to be triggered by the loading of images and videos, but that's just a guess.
There's a bright white flash and in some cases images get corrupted, but get "fixed" on reload.
