Description

I have been using the Brave browser for a while now. However, I've noticed that I am unable to share my screen when using Google Meet with Brave. Every time I try, the browser displays a message saying 'Your browser can't share your screen.' I have not encountered this issue with Chrome or Safari. To help illustrate the problem, I have attached a demo video, as well as the versions of Brave and MacOS that I am using.

I have attempted to address this issue by searching for solutions online, checking my Mac's privacy settings, reinstalling the Brave browser, and updating it to the latest version, but unfortunately, the problem persists.

Plus, I can share my screen successfully with the "Brave Talk."

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start the google meet
  2. Click share screen button
  3. It happens "Your browser can't share your screen."

@IamAniketDixit Thank you for your assistance. However, could you please provide more information about using 'in incognito'? I'm not familiar with this term and I'm unsure how to change it. Thank you very much

IamAniketDixit commented 1 year ago

Sure, Press Ctrl + P. This will open private window/incognito mode

Same issue there. I got got Brave versions on the Ununtu 23.03. Screen sharing works on the deb installed Brave. Doesn't work on the Snap installed Brave version. Seems like Snap doesn't have some permissions by default, but who cares?
