Brave Randomly crashed on rebornos. happens on youtube. then it freezes. #33490

My issue is: happening recently. after a certain update. hen it crashes a few times so far.

it freezes my youtube videos, then it stays stuck, then messes with the sound and then i have to reboot my computer. im considering uninstalling if it doesnt get resolved.

rebornos is basically arch linux. just better.

oh, im using a amd ryzen 7 hp laptop.

so how does this get resolved? thanks.

For youtube,

as the crashing could be due to https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/32658 You can verify by try Violentmonkey + https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/473972-youtube-js-engine-tamer

Brave on openSUSE Tumbleweed here. Brave is now unusable when playing a YouTube video, as the browser constantly freezes on all tabs just because a YouTube video is playing in one tab.

I am on YouTube Premium, so I don't mind ads, but I still would love to block trackers. Thanks.

EDIT: after testing for a while, even after I allowed all trackers & ads under Brave Shield on YouTube, the browser is still freezing when playing a YouTube video. Now, I have to play YouTube on Firefox for the time being.

EDIT 2: I also tested this on Chrome 118.0.5993.88, playing a YouTube video doesn't freeze the browser. It seems this is Brave issue.
