Both Bitwarden and Proton Pass require an account. Is there a way to test this without creating accounts?

Sure it does not work with any autofill of password managers.

Try with KeepassDX: https://www.keepassdx.com/

Autofill default Works with other chromium-based browser

I don't know about Bitwarden, but Proton Pass accounts are free, so testing with one would not require any financial investment. đź‘Ť-------- Original Message --------On 3/11/24 18:12, Wojciech Knapik wrote: Both Bitwarden and Proton Pass require an account. Tried with KeePassDX and indeed, it works with Vanadium and Firefox, doesn't work with Brave (release, or nightly)

wknapik commented 3 months ago

@skariko have you tried this with vanilla Android, or only GrapheneOS?

queesamor commented 3 months ago

Proton Pass works well in vanilla Android with Brave, but in GrapheneOS Brave is the only browser (of those listed) that does not work with Proton Pass.-------- Original Message --------On 3/13/24 14:57, Wojciech Knapik wrote: @skariko have you tried this with vanilla Android, or only GrapheneOS?

hello @queesamor and @wknapik , I can confirm that on Vanilla Android it works well. The problem occurs exclusively on GrapheneOS, despite active Google services and all given permissions.

On any other chromium-based browser I've tried (Mulch, Cromite, Vanadium) it works fine.

wknapik commented 3 months ago

@brave/android what would you need to debug this? It works in other browsers, including Chromium-based, so we should be able to fix it. Lmk and I can share logs, etc.

As noted by Ben, this solution for Bitwarden also worked for me for Proton Pass, and I can now finally autofill website logins again: 1: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/4802-bitwarden-not-working-on-brave/21 2: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/4802-bitwarden-not-working-on-brave/36
