Don't ask again feature of websites not working, works in other browsers

Description

Logging in to fidelity.com using symantec VIP access two factor authentication, there is an option to not ask again on this device (for the authenticator code).

This feature works in firefox but doesn't in brave, I assume due to privacy features.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Must have a fidelity account secured with symantec vip access two factor authentication.
2. log into account with username and password
3. when prompted for symantec vip access two factor authentication code check the box labelled "do not ask again on this device"
4. enter the code from the 2fa app (symantec).
5. logout from fidelity
6. login again to fidelity with username and password. you should not be prompted for symantec 2fa code.

Actual result:

Symantec 2fa code is still required

Expected result:

You should not be prompted for symantec 2fa code

Reproduces how often:

Always.
