Just wondering if its something I've done (a setting somewhere that tangentially affects this). It happens so often I don't right click the mistake anymore, I just select it and search Startpage for the correct spelling.

I suspect it isn't just you as I have also been struggling with the spellchecker recently and I haven't played with any brave settings or flags. I have always been pretty terrible with typos and the suggestions are very poor recently.
