TL;DR: Shields is blocking more than Privacy Badger in that screenshot.
The yellow sliders on Privacy Badger ones are requests that Privacy Badger tries to remove 3p cookies from, not block outright. See their documentation. So Privacy Badger is actually only blocking google-analytics.com
and static.cloudflareinsights.com
. Importantly, it is not blocking googletagmanager.com
.
Shields never sends cookies on any 3p requests. Also, in that screenshot, Shields is outright blocking static.cloudflareinsights.com and googletagmanager.com
. googletagmanager.com
loads google-analytics.com
, so because Shields already blocked the googletagmanager.com
, the request to google-analytics.com
never occurs.
Oh, thank you for your professional answer
Regarding browser fingerprint security, can you refer to some solutions for fingerprint browsers?
Finally, wish Brave will get better and better
Hello sir, regarding the issue of Brave Shields and privacy badger, I don’t know how to choose Brave Shields and privacy badger.
When I use them separately on the same website, privacy badger always shows more blocks, just like the example I provided. Does this mean that privacy badger is more efficient than Brave Shields and can block trackers and protect privacy? , I think I need professional answers
