Videos do not play in Twiter/X #39488

Description

The PC version of Brave does not play most of the videos posted in Twitter/X. A few of them do play fine but most dont. When I click on the video to play it just shows the circling circle and never plays. This also happens when opening the post and trying to play the video.

Steps to reproduce

  1. log into twitter
  2. play any video

No repro on my end. Please make sure autoplay is enabled for the domain; check the right-side of the address bar for a play icon. If you see one, and it is crossed out, then Brave is preventing videos from playing. image

Autoplay is on, but I dont have the plat button on the address bar. Some videos do play thou, thats the confusing part and I am using the default adblocker from brave.

@hammerjoe It sounds like it could be a networking issue. Could you share an example of a video that does play, and one that does not play? I'm curious if, after a short period, the video which does not play will start to play when accessed again. Are you able to test another connection, such as a hot spot from your mobile phone?

Its only with the PC, on the tablet or phone it works fine.
