Although it is possible to open links in a private tab from a non-private custom tab/in-app browser page, there is still no option to set Brave to always open links in private/incognito tabs, a feature that Vanadium from GrapheneOS already has. Based on this exchange with Eich, this has also been a feature on iOS for over 2 years now yet it is missing on Android:

25100 has been closed with a reference to another issue but that doesn't actually deal with this problem especially as it relates to (potentially data harvesting) apps opening links in your default browser that may already be running.
Steps to reproduce
Open Brave's settings
Check for option to set external links to always open in private tabs
Find nothing
Actual result
No option to set Brave to always open external links in private tabs.
Expected result
Find option to set Brave to always open external links in private tabs.
