Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters are not functioning #41909

Description

Enabling the Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters under from the filter lists doesn't seem to do anything, or is it horribly outdated?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters
  2. go to a paywalled site like www.nytimes.com
  3. try to read paywalled articles

Actual result

Site stays paywalled

Expected result

Paywalled should be bypassed, as it DOES work when installing the extension itself.

Working here? Check on the latest Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters - Version: 1.0.369 in brave://components. I get no warnings of articles. @scrutinizer80

@ryanbr Seems better now, but the original extension (currently at v3.8.9.7) still opens up more sites/elements that Brave doesn't.

Sure, understandable. Its working in the confine of the list and list limitations. If you want more functionality the extension will offer more. Not much we can do here.
