Mine also has been crashing at least twice a day for the past 2 weeks... Sync is gone now, I don't why but after a crash, it never went back.
@bsclifton still getting crashes from 0.68.142
version.
@ertugrulcetin @leseb mind sharing the Crash Report ID
located in brave://crashes
? A sent report should look similar to the following:
We also just released 0.69.132 CR: 77.0.3865.90
which included a fix for https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/6194 via https://github.com/brave/brave-core/pull/3567.
Quick note about the above - when you go to brave://crashes
, there should be a Send now
link. You may need to close Brave and relaunch for it to trigger sending the reports, but then the Report ID
will show there (which we can tie to a report which has debug symbols)
As @kjozwiak shared, we did fix at least one more known crash type with the release today. Please let us know 😄
@kjozwiak @bsclifton thank you for your attention, I'll let you know if this happens again with the latest release :)

@leseb, regarding c8d77dd04888c038
, it's related to WebTorrent and a known issues. We've recently fixed it via https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/6193. It's currently in the dev
channel which is version 0.71.x
.
Regarding 4891c4529a70a37f
, it should have been fixed in 0.68.139 CR: 77.0.3865.90
via https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/6068 which was released Thursday, September 19th
. From the crash report, it looks like it happened with 0.68.138 CR: 77.0.3865.75
so you shouldn't be seeing that crash again 👍
@ertugrulcetin going to close this off for now. If you experience more crashing, re-open the issue and use the info from https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/6300#issuecomment-538054783 and let us know the Crash Report ID
once the reports have been uploaded.
@leseb as per the above, those two crashes should be resolved 👍

Thanks a lot for the followup :-).
Brave has started to crash all the time (I cannot even finish this post until it crashes) this week. The only change I am aware of is installing proprietary NVIDIA drivers (running Xubuntu 19.10
with Brave Version 1.1.22 Chromium: 79.0.3945.79 (Official Build) (64-bit)
) - how can we debug and fix this, please? Thanks
I can not use the browser, it crashes most of the time.
P.S: I disabled Hardware Acceleration and not using Brave sync.
Here is the log:
