[Arch Linux] Brave doesn't start after update #6772

Description

Brave browser doesn't start at all. It got broken.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install latest available Brave from aur (yay -S brave-bin)
  2. Try to open Brave
  3. Nothing happens!

Expected result:

Before update everything was great.

brave-bin 1:0.70.122-1

Other Additional Information:

I can't install anything except bin because it downloads whole GitHub repository... And it's more than 20GB.

Seems like it's Nvidia Optimus related, that means i won't be able to use Brave on linux? Nice work here guys... Cool update...

Earlier versions of browser worked just fine, now i use Firefox until it gets fixed.

I don't know if there's anything we can do here; we don't officially support AUR (we have an issue open to support it, with the maintainer commenting there) and I know the package diverges from the raw binaries we release (rpm/deb): https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/1950

@sTiKyt do you know if Chromium has the same problem? You might try passing --ignore-gpu-blacklist from the command line when launching Brave. Worst case, you should be able to launch with --disable-gpu

Downloaded Chromium, don't have any problems with it, works great.

Something wrong with Brave, as i said before it was working before update, i was using it for very long time. Yeah, it got KDE Wallet related errors as well, i don't think KDE wallet error can disable whole browser...
