[Feature Request] Fluid Zooming #7080

Description

Fluid Zooming is not possible, as it is with Touch Devices, or with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Zoom (w/ touch pad, or mouse scroll)
  2. See that zooming happens in impulsive steps

Actual result:

Abrupt zooming experience

Expected result:

Smooth zooming experience

Reproduces how often:

Easily reproduced

Brave version (brave://version info)

Version 1.0.1 Chromium: 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Version/Channel Information:

Pretty sure that it is the same on the upcoming releases and Chrome.

Noting that on a trackpad I'm able to zoom fluidly without any issue

If you are on Windows and you compare that with Edge, or any other native-UWP app you will notice the difference.

Edge is a little more fluid in that it "bounces back" when I zoom in above the zoom limit, or zoom out beyond the default view. Other than that, on my end the two are identical.

Compare that to say Vivaldi, where touchpad zooming is identical to pressing Ctrl + and Ctrl - repeatedly.

It might be that we're thinking of different things, but to my eye and on my machine, the two zooming experiences are identical. Could you describe what you're seeing on your end in more detail?
