BankID used for all web-pages with identification authorization and signing in Norway #9423

Description

BankID is a service from the Norwegian banks to authenticate people. The service does not work with Brave, so I need to change browser to access my bank account, digital mail box, pay for something online, etc.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have BankID
  2. Disable Brave Shileds
  3. Try to use it with any websites that requires personal authentification

Actual result:

Every time

Brave version (brave://version info)

Version: 1.3.115 Chromium: 80.0.3987.87

Version/Channel Information:

Everytime

Other Additional Information:

Works when Brave Shields is disabled!

The service works on Chrome and Firefox

Miscellaneous Information:

Can be hard to recreate without BankId

@Brogzybro Can you update to our latest 1.9.76 and see if this is working for you? This is likely a fingerprinting blocking change but we've improved it of late to help with webcompat.

@rebron Just checked with 1.9.80 and the problem is not fixed.

@Brogzybro Which shields settings is causing it, does Allow all cookies help?

Allowing all fingerprint attempts helps.

@Brogzybro Not sure if this is still an issue, does it work in shields with no changes? Fingerprint=standard
