Goggle can bypass the Safe search strict restriction #14

I noticed that when Goggle (example) is active, the Safe search restriction doesn't work properly. On strict setting (without Goggle) Safe search hides the pl.pornhub result (searched by the title found in an example). But with Goggle active, that link was still visible despite setting Safe search to strict.

Hi @Geist-zz,

We were not able to reproduce this issue on our end and using your Goggle. The pl.pornhub results are filtered out when Safe Search has value strict as expected. Are you still able to reproduce?

Geist-zz commented 2 years ago

Yes. Although the example was missing a $boost=1,site=pl line (without it there is only one result from Wikipedia).

Search word test in All regions, third (in my browser) result (result description mostly in Polish). Switching to Moderate/Strict doesn't hide it.

Test Goggle (original - has comments and metadata):

$discard

$boost=1,site=pl

Hi @Geist-zz,

I checked again and still cannot see the issue. Here is what I get with Strict mode and test query with your Goggles:

It could depend on the region of used IP.

Part of what I see (small resolution, Strict, should be similar to the CGI proxy results given below): screenshot

Results with default Moderate restriction:
